Immerse yourself in the intimate atmosphere of the Lace Room as you listen to the pleasant voice of our audio-visual guide. In 13 steps, let yourself be guided through the process of making this textile synonymous with luxury.
Techniques, materials, history, patterns and styles: our audio experience gives you the keys to understanding lace. Follow the tour or linger over certain themes, such as the incomparable Brussels lace. The choice is yours! In addition to the audio aspect, each number is accompanied by a text, allowing everyone to access the information.

For nursery, primary and secondary school groups, self-guided tours are free. Booking is compulsory via our online form 3 weeks before the date of the visit. The museum provides educational materials to accompany the group.

People with specific needs
The Fashion & Lace Museum is eager to welcome and accommodate as far as possible the needs of the general public. It will do its utmost to facilitate accessibility to people with disabilities or special needs.
- Guide dogs are welcome
- The wifi is free
- The toilets are adapted for people with reduced mobility
- A guidebook in paper format is available for the large temporary exhibition as well as The Lace Room. Reading lamps are available at reception to make reading easier. The guide to the temporary exhibition is also available on our website
- The Lace Room offers a tactile experience, magnifying lenses are available.
- However, due to technical problems, the museum’s lift is temporarily out of service. The upper floors of the museum are only accessible by stairs

The Fashion & Lace Museum puts its visitors’ well-being at the heart of its mission, and therefore offers experiences that promote empathy, community cohesion and reflection. As part of this, the museum is a participant in the Museum Prescriptions project, in which 18 medical facilities can prescribe their patients free or guided tours of 14 different Brussels museums.
