During the exhibition Reflection by Jean-Paul Lespagnard, visitors to the Museum were plunged into the bubbling brain of Brussels designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard. Reflection was an extraordinary exhibition showcasing an internationally renowned stylist who is buzzing with projects and ideas.
The temporary exhibition was housed on the three floors of the Museum.
On the ground floor, the world and inspirations of Jean-Paul Lespagnard: works of contemporary art, objects of popular culture and pieces by couturiers from the Museum’s collections. On the first floor, the Belgian designer demonstrated how he transformed these inspirations into his creations. On the third floor, the public could play, by designing a virtual scarf that defined its own universe.
Reflection by Jean-Paul Lespagnard provided a unique insight into fashion and inspiration.
Jean-Paul Lespagnard generously donated the pieces presented in this exhibition. These items are now included in the inventory of movable cultural heritage of the Brussels-Capital Region, such as this matching shirt and trousers inspired by a sports ensemble from the museum’s collection
