This event has already taken place.

On Thursday 11 May 2017, a conference was hosted at the Brussels City Hall, hosted by Fabrice Bladt: HABIT-BÂTI: Between textile design and architecture.

Fabrice Bladt is an architect and a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture La Cambre-Horta of ULB. The conference was presented by Eric Van Essche, a doctor in Art History and professor at ULB and La Cambre.

What topics were discussed during the conference “HABIT-BÂTI: Between textile design and architecture”?

There are countless collaborations between architects and fashion designers, whether for the design of lofts or concept stores.

The relationships between architecture and textile design have thus become more frequent.

But, what about the contribution of fashion to architecture? Although it is obvious that clothing is a second skin, can architecture be considered as our macro skin?

The conference HABIT-BÂTI: Between textile design and architecture was held in Brussels on Thursday 11 May 2017.
